Broccoli and Cheddar Cheese Omelette
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/4 cup broccoli florets
- 3 tbsp shredded cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper
Place the broccoli florets in the Lekue Omelette Maker. Close the case and steam for 1 minute in the microwave. You don’t need to add water or oil because the water content from the broccoli is sufficient enough and the seal on the Omelette Maker is tight so no moisture will escape.
Meanwhile, in a bowl add the two eggs, pinch of salt and pepper, cheese, and milk. Whisk together. Milk is added for fluffiness and for overall texture.
Open the Omelette Maker and add the egg mixture. Close the case again and cook in the microwave for 1 minute 30 seconds at 800watts. To power down your microwave, you must first know the wattage. It is usually located on the inside wall or on the door. Once you figured that out, enter the cooking time and then press “power level.” Afterwards enter a number 1-10 (10 will be full power.) Example: I have a 1,000watt microwave so when I power down I press 7 (cooking time), press the power level button and then 8 (for 80% power = 800watts.)
Turn the Omelette Maker over and cook again for 1 minute 30 seconds at 800watts. We turn the omelette over half way through because we want the eggs to cook evenly.
Remove from the microwave, put onto a plate and enjoy your quick, healthy breakfast.
