Chocolate One Minute Cakes

Cook Time: 2 Minutes


  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) butter
  • 1 chocolate bar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour


Put the butter and chocolate in a microwave safe bowl, and place in the microwave for one minute. Remove from microwave, and with a spoon, mix the chocolate and butter together. Place back in the microwave for another 30 seconds. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together. While whisking, pour the melted chocolate in the egg mixture. Once smooth, add the flour and whisk thoroughly making sure there are no clumps.
Distribute the batter equally between the cake cups. 
Place 1 cake cup in the microwave and cook for 1 minute and 30 seconds. Remove and eat/serve immediately. 
*2 cakes can be made at once, just double the cooking time 
*cakes can be eaten in the cups or can easily slip out to create a lovely plated dessert.
